Alright, today I’d like to share with you some information regarding one of my favorite shoes ever. The “Kamala”! And while you probably ask yourself now, why on earth would anybody write a Baffin Boots Review in the beginning of August (okay, you got a point there..;-)..), I will tell you why: the summer is the best time to by your winter boots, because it’s off-season and therefore you can save some real money!
Obviously, the main reason why anyone wants to buy boots is to keep the feet warm. And that’s why I love Baffin Winter Boots. They simply do the job while other brands often didn’t live up to their promises, at least in my opinion. I can wear them in snow and slush – all day long – and my feet stay dry and warm. The inside of the shoe is made of thick and fluffy fabric. Also, there is enough flexibility to wear heavy socks without getting your toes squeezed!
And here is another reason why I prefer the Kamala over other boots. It is very easy to get in and out. You know what I’m talking about – it can be quite a hassle to get into a boot especially when they are cold and stiff. But with this pair, you don’t have to worry about that. The toggle-lace system is easy to use and no need to push and pull like crazy just to get in or out.
The sole is made of sturdy but flexible plastic. I have two dogs that I have to walk every day at least two times even in lousy weather conditions and this boot is made for longer walks or hikes.
Alright, as for the looks – I personally don’t care too much about that. I like the black version. I know there is a little bit of a fashion hype momentarily and Baffin Boots seems to be “trendy”. I’m sure they are but again, to me practicality and comfort matter much more that the appearance. And with respect to that, I can only recommend the Kamala if you are looking for shoes that do the job!
